Let's expose this word for what it really is

I would like to start this blog off by thanking God for giving me the strength and courage to call out such a word. How could a word with such a negative history still remain amongst us? This word was created to demean, demoralize, and lastly, humiliate the African American race. I could never see myself talking to one of my friends and say to him/her, "what's up ni$$er"? In reality, I'd really mean, "what's up lowly valued citizen"? Or "what's up ignorant person"? If some people really researched this word and found out what it really means then they wouldn't use it. Or would they? Some people you can change but I do believe that good always defeats bad, eventually. The word actually has no positivity in it whatsoever. If a white man/woman uses the word then it's considered bad but if a "black" man/woman uses the word then it's considered ok or "as a term of endearment". What have African Americans actually endeared using this controversial word? We need to remember what we've endured, which is hurt, pain, suffering, humiliation, and a host of other things, the list goes on and on. But if we really want others, namely "caucasians" to stop using this word, then we have to do the same. It has been said that by changing the spelling of the word, it's supposed to take the negativity/power out. But in reality, all it does is give more power/negativity not only to the word but to the African American race. No matter how we look at it, the African American race will still get looked at as "ni$$ers" until we all do something about this and once and for all, erase this word from our thoughts, our heart, and most importantly, from our race forever. Well, I hope that you all enjoyed the beginning of my blog. I'm sure that there will be plenty of views about this word and I welcome all, whether good or bad. But in this, I hope that you all see this blog for what it's meant to actually do, and that's spark change to try to eradicate this word forever. Thank you and God bless.
